The first week of the 26 goal Gold Cup Polo Tournament is over and only three teams have
a 2 & 0 record in the chase for the 2013 trophy.
The most impressive win of the week was the total domination of
Zacara over Coca Cola as the result of 10 goals from Facundo Pieres.
In the following game his brother, Gonzalo, made a 300-yard solo run to
goal in overtime to get Audi past Zorzal.
Valiente struggled in the first half against Mt. Brilliant but put them
away with a powerful second half performance. Three days later Coke
fell out of contention after losing to Valiente 13 to 8 and Zacara put Mt.
Brilliant out of the race with a 10 to 6 drubbing. Alegria lost to Audi 13-
8. Other results are as follows:
Lechuza 12 and Piaget 10
ERG mauled Orchard Hill 16 to 11
Lechuza and ERG are 1 and 0.
